Benitez: "Great support from the fans"

MILAN - Rafael Benitez gave his analysis of the Nerazzurri's display against Udinese in a post-game interview with Sky Sport Italia. "Inter started the game very well, then we lost control of the midfield and our opponents were good at creating dangers on the counter-attack," he said. "We could also have scored a third goal, but we didn't succeed."
Samuel Eto'o's goal against Udinese was his third of the season after the brace against Roma in the Italian Super Cup, but Diego Milito is yet to find his scoring touch. "Diego is working very well, he has quality and if he hasn't scored yet it's only a matter of time," explained the Inter coach. "He will gradually get better and better. We have to work.
"Do we lack an extra striker? I think that with Diego and Samuel we can do what we have in mind, even if we saw today that we found it difficult to play the ball in midfield. We must move more on the wings to surprise the opposing team because by now everyone knows how Sneijder links up with Milito."
Spirit of sacrifice could explain the difference between Inter's first- and second-half performances at the Meazza on Saturday night. "We did much better after the break," said Benitez. "At the start of the match it seemed like everything could be easy, but it wasn't like this after their goal."
Commenting on Brighi's decision to wave on a penalty claim by Inter after a foul on Eto'o, Benitez said: "If the referee didn't want to give the penalty, he could at least have not booked the player who suffered the foul. Anyway, what I liked today was Inter's victory, the three points, and the Inter Curva. Our fans helped us a lot. They know it's not easy at the start and they supported the players on the pitch."
