Inter's 20-year-old goalkeeper Vid Belec, one of the most promising players in his role, has completed a loan move to Serie B outfit Crotone.
Born in Maribor, Slovenia on 6 June 1990, Belec enjoyed success as a tennis player in his youth before discovering a passion for gloves and goalkeeping. He started out at his local side Maribor and signed on youth terms with Inter in January 2007 after impressing coaching maestro Luciano Castellini in a successful trial in December 2006.
With Inter's Primavera side, Belec won a national championship and a Viareggio Cup. He has trained regularly with first-team goalkeepers Francesco Toldo, Julio Cesar and Paolo Orlandoni, has been on Inter's Champions League list in recent seasons, and has taken part in a series of training camps, including last summer's tour of the United States during which he played in the friendly against Chelsea in Pasadena.
